Hardtail

Maximum sustain and rock-solid tuning stability.
Hardtail bridges are the preferred choice for players who prioritize tuning reliability and a direct, punchy string response over vibrato effects. By eliminating the tremolo springs and cavity, these bridges create a more rigid mechanical link between the strings and the guitar body. Our collection includes everything from classic vintage-style plates to high-mass modern designs, providing a stable foundation for both standard and drop-tuned instruments.

Mounting and String Configuration
When selecting a hardtail bridge, the way the strings interface with the body is a key technical consideration:

String-Through-Body vs. Top-Load: Most professional hardtails are designed for string-through mounting, which maximizes downward pressure on the saddles and enhances sustain. We also offer top-loading versions for guitars without rear ferrules or for players who prefer a "slinkier" string feel with less tension.

Mounting Pattern: It is essential to match the bridge’s screw pattern to your guitar body. We stock standard 3-screw and 4-screw mounts, ensuring a clean installation without the need for additional drilling.

Materials and Intonation

Saddle Options: Just like our tremolo systems, our hardtails feature various saddle styles. Choose stamped steel for traditional "snap" and chime, or solid machined saddles (Brass, Steel, or Zinc) for a smoother feel under the palm and increased note definition.

String Spacing (Pitch): Precision is vital for fretboard alignment. We provide bridges in all major spacings, including 10.5mm for modern narrow necks and 10.8mm for standard builds, ensuring the strings sit perfectly over your pickup pole pieces.

Technical Advantage:
The simplicity of a hardtail bridge makes it an excellent choice for players who change tunings frequently or use heavy string gauges. Without a floating mechanism to balance, the setup remains consistent, and string changes are significantly faster and more straightforward.
