The Foundation of Tone: Wood Selection
The wood you choose defines the primary resonance and weight of your guitar. We focus on the industry-standard tonewoods that have shaped the sound of electric guitars for decades:
Alder: The classic choice for ST-style builds, known for its balanced, clear tone with a strong midrange. It offers a punchy sound that cuts through the mix perfectly.
Ash: Highly resonant with a slightly "scooped" midrange and sweet highs. Its striking grain makes it the ideal candidate for transparent or sunburst finishes, especially in TE-style instruments.
Maple: Used primarily for necks due to its structural stability and bright, snappy response. Our maple necks provide the "pop" and attack essential for that iconic bolt-on sound.
Mahogany: For those seeking a warmer, thicker tone with more emphasis on sustain and lower frequencies.
Premium Finish & Playability
Every component in our inventory is professionally coated to protect the wood and enhance its natural beauty.
Finished Bodies: Our bodies feature durable, high-quality finishes—from classic solid colors to vintage-inspired bursts. Routing is done to standard specifications, ensuring a smooth fit for your pickups and hardware.
Ready-to-Play Necks: All necks come with frets already installed and feature spherically rounded fret ends (ball-end frets). This premium detail eliminates "fret sprout" feel and provides a smooth, comfortable grip along the entire edge of the fingerboard. Finishes range from slick satins for a fast feel to high-gloss vintage tints.
Tech Tip for Builders
While our parts are manufactured to standard TE and ST specifications, wood is a natural, "living" material. For the best possible performance, we recommend a final professional setup—including nut slotting and intonation adjustments—to tailor the instrument to your specific string gauge and playing style.
