The Tonerider Apex Blackguard delivers authentic early '50s Telecaster tone—packed with classic snap, twang, and articulation—completely free from unwanted noise. Engineered for reliable performance on stage or in the studio, it maintains dynamic clarity and vintage feel under high gain or crystal-clean settings. Whether installed individually or as a matched set, it breathes new life into your guitar without requiring any body modifications.
For optimal wiring, 250k potentiometers are recommended, though 500k pots can be used to achieve a brighter overall tone. For tone control, 0.022µF or 0.033µF capacitors are suggested according to player preference, while a 0.047µF or higher capacitor will deliver a warmer, jazzier response. Each pickup comes complete with mounting screws, springs, and latex tubing for quick and easy installation.
