Product Description
Traditional lacquer specially formulated for guitars and stringed instruments
- Tinted lacquers allow the grain to show through, ideal for use in a sunburst or similar finish
- Strong and Solid colours are almost opaque, for covering repairs or the outer edges of sunbursts
- Ultra thin finish allows the guitar to resonate for a classic tone
- Available in aerosol spray cans, a touchup pot for repairs, and in tins for use in spray guns and HVLP kits
Tinted nitrocellulose lacquer is coloured but see-through, so the grain shows through from underneath. It can be layered and mixed, and is great for creating a sunburst finish or for bringing out the spectacular figure in woods such as quilted and flamed maple. Tinted lacquer is a base coat which needs to be sealed in with a suitable clear top coat.
Ours is the highest quality nitro' lacquer, which we have researched, tweaked and tested extensively before offering for sale. It gives an excellent thin finish as found on many vintage guitars and is great for use on restorations, acoustic guitars, vintage tribute guitar builds and more.
