Alnico 2 Bar Magnet ideal for building humbuckers and soapbar pickups.
Alnico 2 magnets have been used in guitar pickups since the 1950s and continue to be used to this day. They have a lower magnetic field strength compared to Alnico 5, and pickups with these magnets offer a warm and balanced tone. The reduced string pull increases the pickup’s dynamics and responsiveness to articulation.
