Humbucker size
Versatile dual-coil and specialty pickups in the industry-standard humbucker format.
The humbucker-sized footprint is the most popular mounting standard in the world, offering the widest range of tonal possibilities. This category includes traditional dual-coil humbuckers, high-headroom active systems, and specialized single-coils housed in humbucker covers. Whether you are seeking vintage warmth, modern high-gain precision, or a noise-free replacement for your current setup, these pickups are designed for direct installation into standard mounting rings and pickguard routs.

Core Technologies and Formats:
Passive Humbuckers: The traditional choice for organic touch-sensitivity and harmonic richness. Available in vintage-spec (low output) for maximum "bloom" and modern (high output) for aggressive saturation.
Active Pickups: Battery-powered systems (e.g., EMG, Fishman) characterized by ultra-low noise, high output, and consistent tone regardless of cable length. Ideal for high-gain applications where clarity and headroom are paramount.
Humbucker-Sized Singles & P-90s: Perfect for players who want the bite of a single-coil or the grit of a P-90 without modifying their guitar's body. These "converters" fit perfectly into a standard humbucker slot.
Technical Specifications & Mounting:
Pole Spacing: We offer both Standard Spacing (approx. 50mm) for fixed bridges and F-Spacing/Trembucker (approx. 52-53mm) for guitars equipped with tremolo systems or wide-spaced hardtails. Matching the spacing ensures optimal string-to-magnet alignment.
Lead Wire Options: Choose 2-conductor wiring for classic vintage installation or 4-conductor wiring for advanced configurations such as coil-splitting, parallel wiring, and phase switching.
Mounting Depth: Note that high-output models or those with heavy shielding covers may require slightly deeper cavities. Standard short-leg and long-leg baseplate options are available to fit different body styles (e.g., SG vs. LP).
Magnet and Voicing:
Alnico II & III: Soft, musical attack with a prominent midrange.
Alnico V: Clearer highs and tighter lows; the most common all-around magnet.
Ceramic: High magnetic strength for faster attack, increased output, and enhanced treble definition in heavy distortion settings.
Installation Tip:
When switching from passive to active pickups, remember that you will need to replace your potentiometers (usually from 500k to 25k) and install a stereo output jack to manage the battery circuit. All necessary components for such conversions can be found in our Electronics section.
