Product Description
At the heart of the VS1300 is a solid billet steel block for sustain, clarity, and fast response.
Each block is drilled to our specific staggered offset string through holes, thus relocating the strings from the traditional straight-in-a-line format to points closer to the natural intonation of each string. This method makes the string pull more even over the entire unit, creating a better-balanced vibrato.
The block holes are also deep drilled, this process further reduces the amount of excess string in the block, and combined with the locking saddle unit, makes the tuning stability rock solid.
VS1300 tremolo's new saddle design has all the Wilkinson characteristics, offering the most comfortable feel underhand of any vibrato available in the market.
The MIM (Metal Injection Molded) saddles feature individual string locks that clamp the string at the intonation point preventing excess string movement at this crucial area, this creates increased energy transfer from the string into the vibrato, longer string sustain, better string separation, and of course rock-solid tuning stability without having to remove ball ends.
The hardened steel top plate of the VS1300 features the two pivot design from our VS100, with the locating arc giving a fixed index point for the vibrato, the extended opposite open knife edge allows for even the tiniest variation of width on the vibrato posts and screws, ensuring perfect positioning and unrestricted movement.
This excellent tremolo features our new Series II Wilkinson Arm collar. Perfect height adjustment is achieved via the internally threaded vibrato arm locating onto a threaded bolt inside the arm receptacle. Held in a snug-fitting delrin sleeve inside the arm receptacle the arm is held perfectly with no arm lag. Overall tension is adjusted by the grub screw on the arm collar. This system gives instant response without being affected by slack threads in the block or adverse movement in the hole surrounding the arm.
