Product Description

A ready-to-install pickguard allows for easy guitar modification. Simply connect this pickguard to the output jack and bridge ground. It’s the perfect solution for anyone looking to quickly and effortlessly enhance or change their guitar’s tone.

The pickguard is shielded, assembled, and soldered with high-quality components to ensure long-lasting, trouble-free performance. The wiring includes a push-pull tone potentiometer on the second tone knob, enabling the bridge pickup to be engaged regardless of the position of the main selector switch, offering two additional tonal options. Additionally, a "treble bleed" filter is installed, ensuring that lowering the guitar’s volume doesn’t degrade the sound quality.

Retro Vibe pickups are inspired by the classic tones of Fender-style single-coils. We tailored their specifications to achieve a clean and clear sound, perfect for rock 'n' roll, blues, and classic rock, while also suiting a variety of other genres.

The use of Heavy Formvar wire ensures a bright, harmonically rich tone with full and dynamic bass and clear yet non-aggressive highs. The Alnico 5 magnet version offers crystal-clear treble and a thick but tight low end, delivering the iconic tone of classic single-coils. Meanwhile, the Alnico 2 magnet version provides a slightly softer, more balanced tone with a bit less output compared to its Alnico 5 counterpart.

The middle pickup is reverse-wound and features reverse polarity to ensure hum-free performance in positions 2 and 4. The bridge pickup is slightly hotter, with enhanced midrange presence, making it well-suited for rock tones while providing a wider tonal palette.

Each pickup is wax-potted to prevent microphonics and ensure quiet, noise-free operation.

All Tribute Custom Pickups are wound using high-quality wire from the American company MWS Wire Industries, a trusted supplier to luthiers and custom pickup makers since the 1970s. The craftsmanship and precision of Hathor Pickups guarantee top-notch build quality.
